Terms & Conditions / Client Service Agreement

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Tanya Master through tanyamaster.com and through approved third-party platforms used to deliver, schedule or invoice for services.

By booking or purchasing a service, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the terms below.

Nature and Scope of Services

  • Tanya Master provides somatic consultation and coaching informed by Somatic Experiencing®, parts work, relational practice, psychosomatic inquiry and other trauma-informed approaches.

  • Sessions may involve paying attention to physical sensations, emotions, impulses, relational responses and protective patterns as they arise in real time.

  • Tanya is not a licensed psychotherapist, psychologist, physician or other regulated healthcare professional. Services are not psychotherapy, psychological assessment, medical treatment, psychiatric care or a substitute for appropriate healthcare.

  • Tanya does not diagnose or treat medical or psychiatric conditions. If you are receiving medical, psychiatric or psychological care, you are encouraged to continue working with the appropriate professionals alongside this work.

Your Participation and Responsibility

  • Somatic work is collaborative. Tanya will provide consultation and interventions within the scope of her professional training and experience, but no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

  • You remain responsible for your own choices, wellbeing and decisions throughout the work.

  • Somatic work can sometimes bring up uncomfortable sensations, emotions, memories or experiences. You are always free to slow down, decline an exercise, ask questions or stop the work at any point.

Confidentiality

  • Information shared during sessions is treated as confidential.

  • There may be limited circumstances in which disclosure is required by applicable law, including situations involving an immediate risk of serious harm or other legal requirements. Where appropriate and possible, Tanya will discuss this with you before making a disclosure.

  • Tanya may discuss aspects of her work in professional supervision or consultation. Identifying information is not shared.

  • Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on tanyamaster.com.

Online Sessions

  • Services are provided online unless otherwise expressly agreed.

  • Please attend sessions from a private, interruption-free location where you can be fully present. Sessions should not be attended while driving, walking in public, working or otherwise multitasking.

  • Because Tanya works with clients internationally, you are responsible for accessing emergency, medical or mental health services in your own location when needed.

  • Tanya’s practice is not an emergency or crisis service.

Ongoing Plans

  • Ongoing Somatic Work is offered in three-month blocks, with three sessions allocated per month. By enrolling, you commit to the full three-month period and are billed monthly at the beginning of each monthly billing period.

  • Each monthly allocation is valid for 30 days from the start of your billing period. It is your responsibility to book and use all three sessions within that period. Unused sessions do not carry over and are not refundable or transferable.

  • If availability prevents you from scheduling all three sessions within the 30-day period, you must contact Tanya before the period ends to request an extension. Extensions must be agreed in advance and are not granted automatically.

  • Tanya does not monitor or manage the use of individual session allocations on your behalf.

  • At the end of the three-month block, the plan does not automatically commit you to another three months. You may choose whether you would like to begin a new three-month block.

  • Ending participation during an active three-month block does not cancel the remaining financial commitment. If exceptional circumstances prevent you from completing your commitment, please contact Tanya directly to discuss your situation.

Cancellations

  • All paid sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are considered used and are forfeited. No refund, replacement session or extension will be provided.

  • If you arrive late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time.

  • If Tanya needs to cancel or reschedule a session, the session will not be forfeited or counted against your allocation and an alternative appointment will be arranged.

  • Complimentary introductory calls may be cancelled or rescheduled through the booking system. Repeated missed introductory calls may not be rebooked.

Fees and Payment

  • Current fees are displayed on tanyamaster.com or on the relevant booking or practitioner platform. Where a different fee has been individually agreed, that agreement will apply.

  • Standalone services are paid according to the terms shown at checkout or on the relevant invoice.

  • Some clients may be referred or invoiced through third-party practitioner platforms. Where this applies, payment and invoicing may be processed through that platform according to its applicable procedures.

Refunds

  • Payments for completed sessions, late cancellations and missed sessions are non-refundable.

  • Monthly payments made as part of an Ongoing Somatic Work plan are non-refundable, including where a client does not book or use all sessions allocated within that monthly period.

  • Where exceptional circumstances prevent services from being provided by Tanya, an appropriate refund, credit or alternative arrangement will be offered.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Communication Between Sessions

  • Outside-session communication is intended primarily for scheduling and brief logistical matters.

  • You are welcome to send reflections between sessions where appropriate. These may inform future work but are not processed therapeutically or responded to in depth outside a scheduled session.

  • Email, messaging and other asynchronous communication should not be used for emergencies or crisis support.

Changes to Fees or Services

Tanya may change the structure, availability or fees of services from time to time.

Any change affecting existing ongoing clients will be communicated in advance and will not alter the fees or terms of an existing three-month commitment unless mutually agreed. Changes may apply to any subsequent three-month block.

Client Accounts and Third-Party Platforms

  • Where you create an account through tanyamaster.com or another platform used in connection with the service, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your information and protecting your login credentials.

  • Some services may use third-party systems for booking, video conferencing, communication, forms, payment or invoicing.

  • Those platforms may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Ending the Work

You may choose to stop attending sessions at any time. For clients enrolled in Ongoing Somatic Work, ending participation does not automatically cancel the remaining financial commitment within an active three-month block. Any payments and sessions remain subject to the payment, refund and cancellation terms above.

Tanya may recommend pausing or ending the work if she believes that the work is outside her professional scope, another form of support would be more appropriate, or the agreed structure and boundaries of the work cannot be maintained.

Where appropriate, Tanya may suggest other forms of professional support.

Professional Scope

Tanya Master practises as a Somatic Consultant and trauma-informed practitioner based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, working online with clients internationally.

Services are educational, consultative and coaching-based in nature and do not establish a psychotherapist-patient, psychologist-patient, physician-patient or other regulated healthcare relationship.

Clients remain responsible for obtaining appropriate medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice where required.

Agreement

By booking, purchasing or participating in a paid service with Tanya Master, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms should be read alongside the Privacy Policy and any service-specific agreement or informed consent provided to you. Where a specific written agreement has been entered into for a particular service, that agreement will apply alongside these Terms.

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact info@tanyamaster.com.
